The Weekend Vacation – Part 5, The Awesome Apartment
As seen in my previous post, we ran into a problem with the apartment we had booked. Luckily, we also met a nice lady who showed us the apartments they offered and we got a good bargain for it.
I filled my details and got the key. We could pay for it later
The apartment is next to the second pool.
It is a two-storey apartment. The ground floor has the living room, a dining table and a fully equipped open kitchen.
The apartment layout
Living area
This space has two leather seats and a coffee table. It is also equipped with a large flat screen TV.
The Dining Table
The dining table is as neat as the rest of the apartment.
It is such a shame we never got to use it since we took all our meals either at the restaurant or by the pool at lunch.
The Fully Equipped Kitchen
It came complete with a cooker, a blender, an electric kettle, utensils, and a fridge.
The Fridge was huge and not those mini bars that hotel rooms come equipped with.
And then there are the counter chairs next to the kitchen counter.
The Washing Machine
This one is definitely one of the things I did not expect. Given that I don’t own one or ever used one for that matter, it was a welcome first. I even made sure I washed some clothes even though a had carried enough for the weekend. Now my list of household items includes a washing machine. Those things are effective.
The next part of the amazing apartment was upstairs. Accessed through a spiral staircase that ensures you get your daily workout whether or not you would like to, the floor has two bedrooms and a chill area.
The Chill Area
I really don’t know what to call this particular part so I will just call it the chill zone. It has an L-shaped, very comfortable sofa. Once I sat on it I really didn’t wanna get up. The cushions are so soft. I want just like that one in my house. In addition, It has a smaller flatscreen TV.
The Master Bedroom
This bedroom has a queen size bed, a walk-in closet(not so big) and a big bathroom. Too bad Jay called dibs on it so Marc and I had to use the second bedroom which was smaller. I also never got around to taking pictures of it. But I saw it and it was impressive.
The Other Bedroom
The second bedroom is smaller than the master bedroom but it is definitely not any less cosy.
The bathroom is smaller as expected. But I think it is pretty cute.
This apartment is definitely built for a long-term stay. You can even cook in there, which would definitely save you some cash on meals. Buying one meal cost from Ksh 600- Ksh 1000 depending on what you order, per person. If we cooked, we would have spent that or less for all four of us. Unfortunately, no one volunteered.
I would 100% recommend staying at the Mangro hotel. The staff is friendly. Their meals are very good. Finally, the rooms are very clean.
The above post is from my perspective, my unbiased opinion based on my stay at the hotel. I would like to emphasise that I have not been paid by anyone to advertise the property.
